Embracing Chinese New Year

Welcome to the Year of the Wood Snake!

The Chinese New Year celebrations have begun!  The 2025 festivities extend from the new moon on January 29 to the full moon on February 12.

This is an occasion to celebrate the new beginnings of spring.  It is a time of family gatherings, traditions, good food, and fireworks.

We have entered the year of the Wood Snake.  While many in western cultures have fears around snakes, they represent powerful symbols of transformation and rebirth.

In 2025, we are invited to join the snake in shedding our skin

Releasing the past.

Detaching from the stories.

Disengaging from bad habits.

Liberating ourselves from unrealistic expectations.

This may include saying goodbye to a relationship, job, or activity that is no longer in alignment.

As we shed old versions of ourselves, we are called to step forward into personal growth with intention, wisdom, and intuition.

Wood adds an element of creativity and determination to the snake's transformation this year.   The wood snake is introspective and soul-searching.  Deep thought will unfold into absolute clarity, confidence, and internal strength.

To strengthen your inner wood snake this year:

  • Engage in introspective practices to reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

  • Consider journaling, meditating, and spending time with yourself.

  • Reflect on which qualities you are ready to shed.  Which stories no longer define you?

  • Become aware of what brings you Joy and makes you feel Alive.  Align your life with passion and purpose.

May you have a transformative year in 2025.  I would be honored to support you through this upgrade!
